Financial Aid Program

PROJECT: VetRelief provides emergency financial assistance to eligible Veterans, service members, and qualifying military-connected family members experiencing a recent, unforeseen hardship. Our goal is to help stabilize households facing a temporary financial crisis by providing support for essential needs.

This program is intended to offer short-term relief during urgent situations and is not designed for ongoing or long-term financial support.

PROJECT: VetRelief may be able to assist individuals who are:

  • Honorably discharged Veterans
  • Active-duty service members
  • National Guard or Reserve members
  • Eligible immediate family members receiving military benefits

Assistance may be available for qualifying emergency needs such as:

  • Housing costs (rent or mortgage)
  • Utilities (electric, water, gas, etc.)
  • Emergency transportation expenses (not including car payments)
  • Critical medical expenses not covered by insurance

To be considered for assistance through PROJECT: VetRelief, applicants must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

  • Military Connection
The applicant is a Veteran who received an honorable or general (under honorable conditions) discharge, is currently serving on active duty, or is an eligible immediate family member receiving military benefits.
  • Florida Residency
The applicant currently resides in Florida and has maintained Florida residency for a minimum of 120 consecutive days.
  • Financial Stability Prior to Hardship
Prior to the current hardship, the household was generally able to manage monthly income and expenses and meet basic financial obligations.
  • Recent and Unforeseen Hardship
The applicant is currently experiencing a recent, unexpected event that has resulted in a temporary financial hardship.

Please note: Meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee assistance. All applications are reviewed on an individual basis and are subject to program guidelines and available funding.
