Eligibility for Financial Assistance

To be considered for PROJECT VetRelief’s Financial Assistance Program, applicants must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:
  1. Military Connection
    The applicant is a Veteran who received an honorable discharge, is currently serving on active duty, or is an eligible immediate family member receiving military benefits.

        • Documentation required: DD-214, active-duty orders, or proof of dependent eligibility

  2. Florida Residency
    The applicant currently resides in the State of Florida and has maintained Florida residency for a minimum of 120 consecutive days.

        • Documentation required: Florida ID, lease, utility bill, or other proof of residency

  3. Financial Stability Prior to Hardship
    Prior to the current hardship, the applicant’s household was generally able to manage monthly income and expenses and meet basic financial obligations.

        • Documentation required: Income documentation and recent household expenses

  4. Recent and Unforeseen Hardship
    The applicant is currently experiencing a recent, unexpected event that has resulted in a temporary financial hardship.
    (Examples may include job loss, medical emergency, accident, natural disaster, or similar event.)

        • Documentation required: Supporting documents related to the hardship (termination notice, medical bill, repair estimate, etc.)

Please note: Meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee assistance. All applications are reviewed on an individual basis and are subject to program guidelines and available funding.
